Girl Scout workshops ON-DEMAND

Our On-Demand options let your Girl Scout participate in our workshops AT YOUR CONVENIENCE. A video link available for 90 days after registration, supply kit, associated badge/patch, and sales tax are included in the cost of each registration. Supply kits can be picked up or shipped at an additional cost.

WORKSHOP LOGISTICS

Access to the On-Demand Workshop Videos link is available for 90 days after registration. Access to videos cannot be extended, so make sure the workshop is completed before the expiration.
Access to the On-Demand Workshop Videos is ONLY through your ActivityHero account.
Workshop kits are provided for each registration and include most materials need for the workshop activity (some additional supplies need to be gathered from your house).
Registration fee includes workshop supply kit, parent/troop leader letter, Girl Scout Badge or Fun Patch (yes, badges are included), and sales tax.
Supply kits can be picked up at our Science Center or shipped for an additional cost.
ALL ON-DEMAND GIRL SCOUT WORKSHOP REGISTRATIONS ARE FINAL. There are no cancellations, returns, refunds or credits once a registration has been processed.

CHUNKY PUMPKIN CRAFT (All Girl Scouts)

Fall crafting time! Girl Scouts (and parents can join in if they wish) learn the step-by-step method to create and decorate two Chunky Wrap Pumpkins. Registration includes a Chunky Pumpkin Kit and a Pumpkin Patch Fun Patch.

GEODE LAB (All Girl Scouts)

CHUNKY PUMPKIN CRAFT (All Girl Scouts)

Girl Scouts become geologists as they investigate rocks and minerals and how they are formed, and crack open their own geode to discover the crystals inside. Parent assistance may be needed for this activity. You may choose to do part of this activity outside. Registration includes our Geodes Lab Kit and a Rocks and Minerals Fun Patch.

HALLOWEEN SCIENCE (All Girl Scouts)

Girl Scouts learn about the science of slime, make color-changing potions and conduct a spooky electricity experiment. Registration includes a Halloween Science Kit and a Halloween Fun Patch.

SHARK SCIENCE (All Girl Scouts)

Girls explore the biology and anatomy of sharks as they investigate shark tooth shapes, learn about dermal denticles that cover their skin, and watch as we teach the anatomy of a real, preserved spiny dogfish shark. Registration includes a Shark Science Kit and a Marine Biology Fun Patch.

ROLLER COASTER DESIGN (Daisies)

Daisies learn about energy and motion to design, construct and test a roller coaster, and see which "roller coaster car" works best. Girls complete requirements for their Mechanical Engineering: Roller Coaster Badge. Parent assistance may be needed for younger Girl Scouts. Registration includes our Roller Coaster Design Kit and a Mechanical Engineering: Roller Coaster Badge.

Brownies complete requirements for their Mechanical Engineering: Leap Bot Badge as they learn about springs and how they work by creating and testing different spring-loaded Leap Bots. Registration includes our Leap Bot Kit and a Mechanical Engineering: Brownie Leap Bot Badge.

SCIENCE OF FLIGHT (Brownies)

Brownies fulfill requirements to earn their Mechanical Engineering: Fling Flyer Badge as they learn the forces that affect flight, and design, build, test and modify a paper airplane. Registration includes our Science of Flight Kit and a Mechanical Engineering: Fling Flyer Badge.
